Welcome to my collection of lesson plans for art teachers. These lessons are based around sketching and collaborative art. All of the lessons are free. I hope you find them useful.
I use my storytelling game as a talking point but you do not need to know how to play in order to understand the first two lessons. And if you decided to continue to lesson 3&4, the basic game rules are very simple.
Also, I create nothing using generative AI, so if your students ask, you can inform them that all of this came from an artist’s brain.
This first lesson is about showing students that even the most boring ideas can be used to create fun art.

Creative Writing

The systems of my story-telling game Brimagine naturally lend themselves to creative writing. Starter characters are provided, however there is a pdf below to help students create their own characters. I’m sure students will figure the game out for themselves if you ask them to pair up, provide them with the rules (either with a link or you can put the rules-page on the whiteboard) and then tell them to write out their turns. Easy homework.
