Classic Duos

—

This game-mode is the same as Classic Brimagine, except you play in a teams of two. One player plays as the main character, while the other player plays a supporting character. You can also have three player matches, where one player plays normally against a team of two.

Teams play two turns in a row, one for each player. Teams always play in the same order but teammates can swap their turn order.

All players get their own action and movement in the climax but only the main characters are allowed to complete their team’s goal. Which leaves the supporting character to set up their main character’s goal or create obstacles for their opponent.

There are not any duos characters provided so you will have to make your own. The only restriction on making characters is they must have a guiding principle.

Competitive Duos

This game-mode follows the rules of the Classic, Duos and Competitive versions. One player can play as the primary signature and their teammate is the secondary, or both players on a team can have their own primary and secondary (main primary, main secondary + support primary, support secondary).

Multi-Goal/Campaigns

This game-mode can be added to any of the previous modes. Once the climax is finished, both teams choose a new goal, then you play another match. This creates a longer story for you to invest in and early moments can have interesting callbacks.

This mode is best played in sessions of three goals. You can choose goals as they come, or both players can choose their first goal and “end goal” during the setup, then the second goal is chosen after the first climax. This gives you a little more direction.

You can keep returning to these stories to create

Brimagine Campaigns, with long-term “Overarching Goals”
